Objectives :

1. To Create awareness among the student about zoology and fishery science and train them in thesubject
2. To make the student familiar with ecosystem and habitats in which they live
3. To develop interest among the student for life science as their carrier
4. To create awareness about biodiversity and it’s conservation
5. To increase the knowledge about use of resources for different         application of aquaculture
6. To create job opportunity and employability in this area. Through aquaculture practices.
7. To increase the knowledge about sub branches of Zoology such as parasitology,Entomology, Sericulture, Apiculture, Histology, Embryology, cytology, Genetics, Genetics,Enginering, Fishery    Science, Aquaculture and Pisciculture, Environmental Science etc.
8. Increaseing the interest of student in Research field.

History :-

Department of Zoology was Established in the year 2002. The Department has faced many challenges like student strength infrastructure etc. in the beginning but it has emerged victorious during all these 12 years after establishment. Today the department has achieved many feats since its inception. The department has well experienced, hardworking and dedicated faculty.

The department offers UG programs. So far maximum number of students has completed their B.Sc. degree offering zoology at graduation level in the college. This department offers zoology subject for B.Sc.Part – I , II, III Classes.
