ABOUT DEPARTMENT
Mathematics as a separate discipline was introduced from the very beginning, i.e. from 1999. Distinguished teachers adorned the faculty from time to time. At present, the department has three (3) teachers – Assistant Professor. The academic condition in terms of quality of faculty and learning transfer process is healthy and adequate. All the teachers of the department are sincerely engaged in scholarly pursuits. The mission of the physics department is to prepare students to understand the Mathematics aspect of creation in the context of acknowledging God as creator and sustainer of all, recognizing his self-revelation not only in scripture but also in his creation. We seek to prepare students to take up the task of unfolding the creation both in graduate study and in the workplace. The Department of Mathematics is one of the core departments of the college. It consists of a well-equipped laboratory. Research in the department ranges across the most challenging problems in Partial Differantial Equation and Operation Research,
MANDATE OF THE DEPARTMENT
To impart instructions in the discipline of Mathematics to the students of UG and PG degree programme. To carry out location specific and need based research in Mathematics and Technology based on the feedback from the extension agencies, stakeholders and research institution of the this region.
