The department of Public Administration was established in the year of 1999. Now it is one of the most prominent departments in the Arts faculty.The students from rural background were provided the opportunity to pursue their higher studies in Public Administration. Hence the responsibility of the department is very huge one. The department of Public Administration is dynamically involved in the process of teaching, learning and evaluation since its establishment. It has been always determined to increase the level of quality education undertaking various kinds of curricular and co-curricular activities for the students. It believes in high performance and quality standards in pursuing the higher education and often forwarded its steps in this regard. Apart from the regular teaching-learning, it also tries to impart informal education like inculcating the human values such as among students.Most of the students of our department have been teachers and Assistant Professors and doing jobs in different fields. The Department of Public Administration sensitizes students towards knowledge of Indian and western administrative theory, the contain of the courses will be thereby fostering skills to promote future professionals in the fields of education, research, and publishing.
Objectives of the Department
- 1. To create interest of students in Public Administration study.
- To make students to be able to enable to student to prepare themselves for various
competitive examinations such as UPSC MPSC and other competitive examinations.
- The students will learn and try to understand the functioning of several democratic institutions.
- To develop awareness of the basic governing system to the students.
- To create skills in the students required for employment.
About Research:
The department of Public Administrationare research oriented. They are constantly publishing research papers in the national and international journals. Some of them have published books also. The faculty actively participates in the national and international level seminars and conferences.
